GCC 2026 GOVERNANCE

In early 2026 Amabilidad was commissioned to support an organisation's growth trajectory and planned expansion. With a focus on the regulatory and compliance requirements of the Financial Services sector in the Gulf region. The original system has since been refined and reframed to capture governance applicable to a wider range of industries and regions.

DUBAIN INTERNATIONAL FINANCE CENTRE

The Governance Operating System is designed for start-ups and mid-size businesses building structure, accountability, and decision-making discipline as they scale. It is built around 14 core components, with full control over sequence, emphasis, and implementation.

It supports different stages of growth by embedding governance directly into decision-making, rather than treating it as a static framework or periodic exercise.

DESIGNED TO BRING CLARITY TO BUSINESS DECISIONS

Governance frameworks are often designed around the traditional 4 or 6 Ps of Governance; People, Purpose, Process and Performance. They are widely recognised however, less so applied in the context of Governance, often too broad and not capturing the day-to-day nuances. To ensure governance is consistently recalled by the team and integrated across decisions, markets, and growth stages, the recommendation is to use a more practical operating approach. This Governance Operating System is designed as a support structure. It is a live operating system rather than a static framework or check-list review exercise. It captures 14 core modular components, each applied and costed independently of each other, giving the organisation full control to prioritise, adapt, and pivot as its needs change over time.

Over 2 months, Oct-Nov 2025, we collaborated with the award winning Polish / Canadian literary artist, Dagmara Sitek. Working with a baseline of 3 social impact literary pieces, we built out the artist's portfolio to include works: The Compassion Lab, The Art of Connection, International Tour in 2026, all centred around compassion in youth. Rising Canada (2025) reports;“An overwhelming majority of young Canadians, 71% of youth between the ages of 12-17, reported experiencing some form of bullying". For this project, we began with desk research, exploring the role of the Council's CA$284M budget and the landscape of fundable art. We listened. Asked open questions. Seeded ideas. And, over time we were able to support our client in creating 3 grant proposals that truly represented her artistic journey. We prepared and submitted reports including; proposed activities, timelines and use-of-funds, In addition to research and validation of the proposed submissions, totalling ~CA$150k, the scope of the project extended to execution planning, specifically the roll-out of the multi-country International Tour 2026.
